Lamp light, sea bright and no shadows or tears

Had a few meetings near Portsmouth today, one in Gosport and one in Emsworth, the image is of the gateway to Chichester Harbour, close to the home of the Royal Navy, it was lovely to see the old fishing boats in the distance with the lamp post framing the image of the sleepy backwater.

But...

My thought today is this peaceful little village is a far cry from the horrible events of yesterday in Woolwich. How our lives can be changed at the blink of an eye by people with an extremist view. My heart goes out to the families of the poor drummer boy of 25, he leaves a two year old son who will now grow up with only a few memories and an online library of images and videos of when his dad was taken from him. And why, he was a British Soldier serving our nation and protecting the freedom we hold so close to our hearts. God bless Drummer Rigby and God bless your family.
