Little and large!

One of our new hens laid their first egg today, so tiny compared to the older lady's! We weren't expecting it yet as we've had them less than two weeks. Late morning we went out to Wheelbirks Farm. Barry likes their unpasteurised milk so we made a lovely visit of it, rather than Barry just rushing there and back like normal. The lambs in extra were sunning themselves waiting for feeding time. The farm allows children to feed them at certain times of the day. They looked very content, as does Reg, also in extras, my contribution to national pet day. We were lucky to get a dry visit with some sunshine, as the forecast hadn't been good and it started to rain almost the minute we got home!
I might make it to matting group Wednesday as Barry's mum has decided she doesn't want a trip to the hospital as she went Monday as is going again on Friday as it will be their wedding anniversary, 71 years. I think she finds it very tiring but also quite upsetting to see him not getting any better. It's a tough time for them and of course for all the family. When she made the first visit she felt it was time to say goodbye, and she said she thought he felt the same. They have discussed the inevitability of that moment many times and they were at peace with that. We're not sure what will happen as he has made little progress although he has been sitting in a chair for her visits. We're just taking it a day at a time, the not knowing is difficult for Millie.
Grateful:
For sunshine to help us look on the bright side
For new spring life
For people who care
