Rain and wind

I took this view of my garden in the rain from my window. It was and is incredibly windy. The blurred effect is partly the rain on the window, but also that the camellia bush was being blown about so badly that it is a movement blur you can see. It was also really cold today. My garden birds are getting through their food too fast!

The much anticipated pension increase hasn’t happened for me! I googled it and it seems it will start to be paid from the first full week after April 10th. Why? They’ve already increased what they take from me in tax this month, and the council tax increase has already wiped out 50% of the pension increase! I keep thinking of some of the words from the Beatles’ ‘Taxman’ - ‘If you take a walk they will tax your feet’. (When that song was written, you could actually get NHS treatment for verrucas. You can’t now!)
