Preparations…

Big Sis and I have had a wonderful day in London. We’re away for her birthday so she and I booked today to celebrate.

We began at Victoria and Buckingham Palace. Lots of security, barriers and spectator stands made negotiation tricky but it was already looking good for a few weeks time.

Fortnum & Mason was our lunch stop after browsing the amazing displays and merchandise. So beautiful, but oh so pricey. We can appreciate beautiful things when we see them!

Then off to Regent Street, Oxford Street and John Lewis before heading back towards Charing Cross and a cup of tea and a scone in Café Concerto. A train was waiting for us, and at this end I walked off the train onto a bus and was home in no time. Voilà.

Jolly cold though today when the sun hid, the clouds opened and the wind hit gale force (we reckon).
