The Catch of the Day?

These blokes are trying their luck at the end of  the Chaffers Marina wharf  which is just across the way from our apartment
It appears that Mr Chaffer (Edward Main Chaffers) in 1839 sailed the barque "Tory" from Lands End to Wellington on the New Zealand Company's expeditionary voyage and was the harbour master for a while.
So I guess his Barque was better than his bike?????
