Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Raining this morning - JR came home soaked, having walked to/from the gym as usual. I watched that episode of Succession again while I had my Shreddies. I’d love to see how they film such scenes, with camera angles and suchlike.

I have decided, now that winter is (almost) over, that I actually need a nice fleece dressing gown. My old tartan one that I’ve had for years, isn’t exactly warm. And so, I nipped down to M&S. It being Spring, going in to summer, they don’t have fleece dressing gowns any more. There is No call for them any more… so I came home, empty handed.

JR and Archie went round to Bruntsfield to collect a bracelet she was having fixed.

The ladies were heading out this evening to a posh ‘DO’ at a local jewellers, where Hazel (and JR, to a lesser extent) has been a good customer over the years.

‘A special evening with Sotheby’s, as they explore the fascinating world of precious stones…

There will be champagne and canapés in abundance. I hope they’re not tempted to buy any diamonds after one too many champagnes…

Meanwhile, there are reports of a man (a GP, actually) being refused the opportunity to give blood because he would not answer if he was pregnant or not.

Yep. In Scotland. Today. I’m beginning to despair…
