Springs Galore!
The village has a multitude of streams which flow, haphazardly it seems, across and along the streets and footpaths and fields. With all the rain that we've had in the last few months each road is under some depth of water for at least part of its width, and this drain in the middle of the High Street had volumes of water flowing audibly beneath it.
The track behind Mrs B's wellington boots leads to Spring Farm, a descriptive name, but most of the land up the hill is criss-crossed with streams, some of which change course and cause some damage to the gardens at the bottom of the hill.
We are fortunate in having a property that sits a metre or so above the lanes down two sides, and the access road to our drive slopes upwards from the High Street – so it will have to be an enormous deluge that brings rain towards our house. Fingers crossed.
I'm trying out a new camera, on loan from Fujifilm. It's the X-T5, with a 40mp sensor. I like the sensor, but not the size of the files: the Raw files are just under 90Mb each, and the jpegs around 26Mb. I think I'll stick to cameras with the older sensor, at 32 and 17Mb respectively . . .
