South Devon

After a long and sometimes stressful drive, we got to South Devon at teatime, for a long weekend. We're visiting the village where my parents lived in their retirement  (Hope Cove, near Salcombe). I have many memories of coming here with Jack and Ruth, particularly when they were very young and the family-friendly beaches were a big attraction.
We're staying just outside the village, in a very quiet and comfortable Airbnb cottage (perhaps the converted barn or outhouse of the house the owners live in, I think). Very peaceful.
