Wot’s going on here then?
To be honest I’m not really sure!! :-))
We had a very pleasant (if slightly later than planned ) journey to Eyemouth to begin the weekend celebrations of LeeAnne turning 90 (doesn’t look a day over 89. Amazing! Don’t know how she does it. Bathes in seaweed apparently. That explains the smell) ) we arrived to find most of the Friday lot already here (more arriving tomorrow)
Shown to our rather grand room at Netherbyres then LeeAnne hid the Empire biscuits (they’re for tomorrow) from Withers, then finally time to get a drink in hand (local gin. Delicious) and reunite with old friends and also meet some of LeeAnne’s other pals. Turns out she has great taste in friends :-)
After some shrieking all we went to the harbour for fish and chips. Yum!
Back to Netherbyres for fun and frolics. Will try to explain some of the photos…
In no particular order…
First glimpse of the sea (today I mean. I have seen the sea before)
Dr T being Peggy Mitchell / Bet Lynch.
Po on the steps of Netherbyres. Po got caught in the Scottish rain yesterday and has shrunk!!
Three LeeAnnes!! As if one wasn’t enough!
The horrible seagull giving our chips the side eye. We scuppered its plans by eating them in the car. Ha!
Withers whining like a child till LeeAnne relented and sneaked her two Empire biscuits from the hidden stash. One was for Paula and she proceeded to eat that too until it was wrestled out of her grubby mitts and passed to its rightful owner! But revenge is sweet as the next pic shows she actually ate the poisoned one (instant Karma’s gonna get ya!)
And finally Po entertained us with her harmonica playing. Every Eurovision winning entry since Abba’s 1974 winner Waterloo. What a talent.
OMG I love this lot. All brought together by the power of Blip. Amazing how you find your own level (we look up to the gutter!) even online :-) Hel we’re missing you!!
Two days to go. Help!
