Wound up in Wexford

A good crop of dandelions

We had yummy crumpets for breakfast.  Still not perfect - a bit fatter than ideal, so a touch doughy in the centre - thinner crumpets next time.  But very tasty.

Apart from the trees we had planted, the only things growing on our land are grass and "weeds".  Weeds are a valuable resource for wildlife - the current bumper crop of dandelions will be providing early nectar, and the nettles in the back corner will provide food for caterpillars later in the year.  But it'll be nice to have more variety.

We've not been out today - I did a session on the static bike this morning, and this afternoon we have made good progress in emptying the workshop.  If anyone had suggested that we would have sourced, and employed, someone to insulate it, and expect the job to be done within another couple of weeks - so all done within the first couple of months of living here, we'd have not believed them.  There'll still be some work to sort out the floor, but W can anticipate having a usable workshop quite soon.
