Definitely look like crumpets this time.

After our previous less than stunning efforts, today's crumpets were definitely a success.

I slept badly last night.  I was brooding about some of the negative aspects of the house, which is really stupid, as these are far outweighed by the positives and we really love the house - but try telling that to your subconscious at 3am!  It really just needs a bit of fettling and love - it has been poorly maintained over the last few years.

Prior to the culinary efforts, we went to a local garden centre - very busy, some very promising plants and trees, but we managed to keep our hands in our pockets and came away without any purchases.

After a distinctly misty start, we actually sat out for a cuppa in the middle of the day, and then had the patio doors open for most of the afternoon.
