Cartmel

A lovely day.  I walked over the hill to Cartmel and circumnavigated the Abbey before walking past L'Enclume, one of the country's very few 3 Michelin star restaurants.  At 11:00 the chefs were already hard at work preparing for this evening's very well heeled guests.
I walked on past the Gatehouse and across the racecourse so that I could explore the woods to the west which had a good peppering of wood anemones and bluebells.
Returning to the centre of the village I had bite to eat at the Cavendish Arms before walking back over the hill to Grange.
