An unusual blip subject...

... for me - flowers.

I have never been a gardener; however, I do enjoy my regular visits to the local RHS Garden at Harlow Carr.

This particular bloom caught my attention, this morning,and the nearest label gave the name Rhododendron Gertrude Schale. (Of course, that still might not be the correct label, knowing me!)

I photographed another bloom but couldn't find its name - I have included that flower as my extra. It would be nice to have a suitable label for this bloom if anyone knows the name.
