Nursery Learning

The photo society were privileged to have a private tour of the Hyde Park nursery. Where all the plants for the Royal Parks are grown. This includes Kensington Gardens, St James' and at the front of Buckingham Palace.

Rob, the manager, explained to us the processes involved, from composting to pest control. As we were given freedom to roam through the glass houses we had the opportunity to try out various techniques. Here is Nick, the chair, experimenting with some ring flash close up work.

Everyone enjoyed it and were very grateful to Rob for giving us his time and for his patient explanation of everything that is involved in this massive operation.
