Progress

I guess this is progress!  It is always about the mess on the way to the improvement isn't it!? First layer of mix is on and by the time he left the corners were re established with the magic mesh.. tomorrow a second layer then hopefully before the week is out there will be a skim waiting to dry off.  I am really looking forward to getting rid of the dark green in the hallway we have loved it but now it is time for a change.. a north facing room with no sunlight penetrating it other than through the doorway you can see!  I am having trouble finding a sophistcated colour for the room so would love to hear your ideas for lovely colours. Seeing the cement in the fireplace I was very taken with the idea of a dark dusky plum/aubergine in the actually fireplace (which will not have a fire in it any more..) the flue cannot be used so we may put a shelf and lights above or a large ornament (yet to be purchased) It needs to be warm but light I think
