Day 2 of NE Trip: Lincoln
We spent a (mostly) sunny day in Lincoln, walking around the old town and cathedral precinct, as well as around the more modern parts of the centre. Seems a pretty charming place, so long as your legs are OK with the v. steep hill.
The cathedral exterior was very impressive, textural, and detailed, but we just kept outside rather than going in to the cathedral, castle buildings, or museums (closed on Tuesdays).

We drove up to Cottingham just outside Hull in the late afternoon to visit friends... We played "Wingspan" (an excellent board game) all evening.
