Just hatched

After such a brilliant day yesterday it felt a bit flat today. It was good to catch up with son number 1 over breakfast before he dashed off to the climbing wall after a night shift with ERMS. Yoga was positive and I returned home for a second breakfast.
I almost went for a run this afternoon, very pleased I didn’t because I certainly wouldn’t have spotted this mallard deeply camouflaged with I think 2 chicks, which doesn’t seem a lot. They had disappeared on my return half an hour later.
