Happiness is.......

This beautiful doggie was having a whale of a time in the Blackwood River today.  The weather has been absolutely glorious since we arrived and it seemed every man and his dog were out enjoying the sunshine.  I have a thought that I'm feeling about as happy as my canine friend at the moment.  It's such a joy to be home in WA, with Mauzee and I about to start a whole new life together here.

Tomorrow will be quite exciting as we're meeting a lovely woman called Christine and rumour has it that there's nothing Christine doesn't know about the birdlife in the region.  We're going on an excursion with BirdLife WA's Cape to Cape Bird Group.

I couldn't resist posting an extra of "Big Gus" as Mauzee has christened our magnificent friend.  We had the joy of seeing Gus enjoying a quick dip to cool off from all the sun baking he's been doing.  Such a thrill and an experience that will live with us forever.
