Spectacular

We just had to go down to check on our celebrity Southern Elephant Seal this afternoon.  He was in a much more playful mood and we were all enthralled by his antics.  Mauzee managed to get some amazing video footage of him.  Apparently he has come ashore to shed his fur and once he's done the job he will make his way back to Antarctica.  The locals are telling us that this is a very rare event they only have a memory of one other Southern Elephant Seal coming to visit the region.  We felt really humble and privileged to be able to see this beautiful creature first hand. I will add three extras as it's a pretty special day for us.
