A frantic day here clearing ‘stuff’ preparing the way for a new boiler. That job begins on Monday and will take a week… ugh. Clearing means moving said ‘stuff’ from one place to another with the promise of big sorting and discarding once the job is done. We worked together although at times I had to absent myself…

This evening I tracked Iris down at our local hospital where she’d been taken much earlier in the day following some nasty symptoms. At 10.40 we were allowed home. Iris was determined she wasn’t going to stay in.

Gosh, the A&E department was full and noisy and we were so glad Iris had bypassed it on this visit. Lots of shouting from disturbed people and too few staff to manage.

A lovely sunny, blustery, chilly day. Perfect for more washing!
