Last leg

Taking advantage of the continuing glorious weather I finished the last stage of the Union Canal, Ratho to Fountainbridge, a much shorter walk than Wednesday’s, about 9 miles including the hike from the bus stop up to Ratho. Having completed the Forth and Clyde canal in December, and what’s left of the Monkland Canal last month I need to find a way of walking the Caledonian Canal without it costing a fortune in overnights. Basing myself in Fort Augustus and using the Fort William to Inverness bus might be the best option.
I had a very pleasant couple of hours ambling around Edinburgh, bought some socks in Seasalt and got the bus home.
