Radiant rushes

I liked the way the light limned the rushes by the lake. The Veep and I had a lovely walk at Montalto estate this morning. At the beginning I was really cross with myself as I forgot my coat, but in the end it didn’t matter as it was such a good day, sunny and warm-ish!

My usual route to this estate was closed for roadworks today and it totally threw me! I ended up parking for a while to consult a map on my phone and eventually succumbed to spoken Google directions. On the way home I decided on a seemingly quicker route but my goodness, the roads were just like a narrow driveway up to somebody’s farm! There were many times I had to pull up into a hedge to let other cars/tractors past. In the end I enjoyed the magical mystery tour aspect of the drive and it was all quite fun!
