Fallen Angel

Moving another amaryllis from a hidden corner of the porch a little accident happened.  A big bud, swollen and ready fell to the floor.  Rescued and in my pottery vase it's opened.  A striking centrepiece on my (cluttered) living room table!

Feeling a bit flat.  Assorted uncertainties and a long, mostly uninspiring to do list most likely the reason.  I'm also sad at what can only be called a bust-up between a small number of shanty singers.  A storm in a teacup really but very personal to a couple of folk.  Storms blow over.   We will go on.  I spent a couple of hours over a cuppa with two of the group hoping to build bridges but the best to hope for is a line drawn, putting it behind us.   A visit at home from another of the group was a welcome chance to get to know each other better and share some thoughts on life and on peace-making.

After a damp start which I used to sort some admin jobs mostly for Ruth and Jamie, the day brightened.   A welcome walk with C and all three dogs helped lift my mood.  I will miss C and her Meg when they move back to England in a few weeks time.  I am though, a believer that when one door closes there's always another door that may open .... you just have to look.
