Dove & Bear

Came across this new uber cool shop in Newark today - eco, ethical, second hand and retro clothing (some embelished) Had an instant bonding with the female owner and fiance. The back of the hanging jacket was crafted by C. They embroider and print too

e2 - a few purchases from then today. The patch was offered as a freebie soon after I walked in, which I disputed of course.

Very interesting couple. C's dad (or grandfather)  was the animator for "The Magic Roundabout", "The Wombles etc. F's father had a short cameo in "The Young Ones", an edgy comedy about a student house

Fond memories from my childhood, wacky and highly recomended view (5 mins)

which was packed on both floors as usual. TK went and spoken to  a waitress by himself - impressed by his confidence. I didn't eat.

Appendix - definitions which seem to match the owners vet well

Urban Dictionary Descriptions:

Dove is the person that captivates your heart with a single glace. beautiful to no end. elegant like a empress. she's a forever beauty. the love in many people's life. no one is able to escape from the captivation of her eyes.

Bear The most common definition of a "bear" is a man who is hairy, has facial hair, and a cuddly body. However, the word "Bear" means many things to different people, even within the bear movement. Many men who do not have one or all of these characteristics define themselves as bears, making the term a very loose one. Suffice it to say, "bear" is often defined as more of an attitude than anything else - a sense of comfort with our natural masculinity and bodies that is not slavish to the vogues of male attractiveness that is so common in gay circles and the culture at large.
