Midnight Moon

My first attempt at a moonlight shot. The moon was so bright last night. I waited until midnight and then took the very short walk to the beach, it only takes a couple of minutes. I was surprised just how light it was.

I didn't expect a "moonburst" when I loaded the images on to the computer. In a way I was delighted but also disappointed. I was expecting a serene moon!!

A lampost kindly lit a little of the trees behind and cast quite a nice shadow on the sand.

Funnily, there's no-one out on a lounger!!! I wonder if people still get up in the night to put towels on sun loungers at holiday hotels?
