It’s a cult…
Said V as we wandered round Sarah Raven’s Perch Hill garden in the rain. I’d booked in January to take Henrietta who is very partial to a tulip but she’d had a work crisis and had to pull out last minute. I tried to change the tickets but couldn’t and so V drove us 2 hours there, I wandered around the tulips with him mainly on the phone to Peter our builder about the damp in our living room. We then had a delicious lunch, bought some plant stuff and tiny vase before heading back on another two hour journey. This time in the growing sunshine.
It’s true that the whole place was full of middle class ladies of a certain age murmuring the names of tulip varieties and there was a lot of ‘Sarah this’ and ‘Sarah that.’
Anyway a break from everything. Got home and had to do a lot of calls as a few issues on the shoot that needed resolving before next week. Ear still deaf but I went over to Clare’s to pick up some old baby stuff and she swiftly diagnosed it as glue ear and not to worry if it wasn’t painful, it would sort it self out (she was a doctor)
