Surprise.

I went for a walk in a local nature reserve (Rimac)  this morning and saw a pair of Green woodpeckers! I was totally surprised and very pleased as I had never seen them here before. They were both picking food (maybe ants) from a pile of field mouse ear that flowers on mounds in the  ground. Such a treat to see them. It made my day!
