Crummock Water
Today we went down the other side to take un Crummock Water and Lake Buttermere. We definitely thought this side was much more scenic and natural. We stopped at Crummock water and went for a walk along the lakeside. It was just stunning and my photos don't do it justice! The light was a bit too harsh with no cloud cover but we lapped it up! We spent ages here just chilling and playing in the water with Aonghus - see extra.
I didn't do my homework for today and didn't realise the Honister pass met up with the road we were on yesterday by Derwent Water. So after a quick stop at the bottom of Buttermere for an ice lolly, we went back the way we came. Doh!!!
So we headed out to the coast to Whitehaven and then back up to the cottage before heading back down to Keswick for dinner (we left Aonghus at the cottage this time). It's clear the focus is on the Lakes as the seaside towns seem a bit run down.
Dinner was at the Fellpack - highly recommend it!
Dale is suffering from wisdom tooth pain and so we tried to contact a dentist via NHS111 for an emergency appointment. They never called back.
