Purple Season

We seem to have passed from the yellow season of spring flowering (forsythia, daffodils) to the violet/purple/blue season.

One rather sad wisteria bloom; lilacs; vinca (major).

We finally got a bit of rain today. Badly needed. But unfortunately it was in the form of a downpour/thunderstorm rather than a nice long steady rain. Better than nothing though, I suppose.
