Happy Saint George's Day. Longsleddale.

This is Bridge End Cottage, our nearest neighbour, but there is no one staying there at present. After breakfast
we followed a muddy path beside an old drystone wall and we heard a cuckoo in the distance which was a lovely surprise. There was a certain joy from hearing the lambs bleeting for their mothers.
The fields all around our cottage are full of delightful lambs and their mothers. There is just one sheep farmer and his son doing a lot of work and long hours.
We had lunch in the garden and the sun shone very warmly.
Watching Ladies in Lavender, such a fantastic film. We played Quirkle and watched some of the London Marathon.
