Bursting with life

I had a short walk this morning round the back of the pond to look for a green woodpecker nest.  I think I know where it is but didn't see any activity.  I saw a holly blue butterfly just before I got to the bluebell wood, which is looking amazing (but I am hopeless at photographing them).

In through the back of the orchard, where I saw a speckled wood butterfly and hung around close to where I think the kestrel nest is, but again nothing doing.  Then I felt something watching me and turned to see the muntjac facing me head on, before it turned and wandered into the thicket.

The trees are bursting into life and I caught this one just opening with its flower buds.  I will have to check what it is.
