Create Hope in the World

Today was spent in Dundee at the Rotary District 1010 Assembly and the title of the blip is the Presidential theme of the next Rotary International President Gordon McInally. Gordon will take up his post on July 1st as President of the worldwide 1.2 million members of Rotary just as I become President of our little club currently with only 12 members ! 
He calls for Rotary to create hope in the world by working for peace and mental wellbeing - he is an inspirational speaker and we are proud that a Scottish dentist who has visited our club has been elected to this position. I don’t think his own club which is not far from us will see too much of him in his presidential year.

The extra shows our more local Rotary team - the man in the centre of those seated is our next District Governor and I had a lovely chat with him during a coffee break when he came and sat beside us and I discovered he is a professional photographer. 
It will be good to welcome him to our club when he makes his official visit sometime during his year as DG.
