New views

It's interesting how different a place can look when you take away some trees! Much of the forest around Balmaha on the eastern side of Loch Lomond has been decimated, opening up a whole hillside not seen for decades.

Likewise, in the opposite direction, we can now get an elevated view of Balmaha bay, boatyard and the new(ish) overflow car park previously obscured by the trees that are no longer in the foreground - see extra. 

Needless to say, I had my four-legged friend keeping me company last night... and no doubt for the rest of my stay.
