Green Alkanet

There’s lots to do before we go away to the Lakes, so no walk today, but I did a quick tour round the garden to check on the progress of the plants. The lily of the valley are coming up nicely, but will unfortunately be at their best while we’re away.

There are lots of these green alkanets in the wildflower area in the back corner, and the new leaves are coming out well on the twisted hazel and ash trees. The oak tree leaves are also just beginning to emerge, but are quite a bit behind the others.

I took 48 cards up to the Atrium this morning, so hopefully there will be plenty of choice for my customers while I’m away.
