Mono Monday: French

Jensphotos has suggested a French theme for Mono Monday to celebrate the anniversary of the French National Anthem being composed.  I've chosen this; my trusty copy of Larousse Gastonomique, the modestly titled 'world's greatest cookery encyclopedia'.  This is an English translation and it's a fascinating book; not just recipes (in fact, you have to look hard to find many) but masses of information about just about everything food related.  A great book for dipping into, if you're at all interested in that sort of thing.
