Poinsettia after the rain

This traditional plant bought for the Christmas season has lasted indoors until recently. I decided to put it out on the steps outside the back doort to see how it coped, as apparently they can be kept from year to year. 

As I sat in a lull between showers I looked out of the window and saw the rain droplets and picked up my camera.
