Bluebells in our garden
I'm not sure how these bluebells arrived in our garden but they've been popping up in the shade of the hedge for many years. It is possible they are remnants of the woodland on the steep hillside a few yards away beyond the garden fence. I think it is more likely that a former gardener brought some as garden plants. They don't look like wild bluebell flowers.
I'm still not up to a wander through the many extensive and beautiful bluebell woods on the Cotswold escarpment, so these will have to do for now. Hopefully I'll get out to see them in the wild before they all go over. I love to see the swathes of blue and green in the wild, intermingled with the other spring wild flowers.
