Anzac Day

Today's the day ..................... to fly the flag

There was only one flag that could fly from our flagpole today - and that was this one.

Among other ceremonies, there was an early morning service in Hyde Park to commemorate Anzac Day and to pay tribute to all the men and women in the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, who served and died in wars, conflicts and peacekeeping operations.  Prince William laid a wreath during the ceremony at Hyde Park, where members of the Armed Forces and public also gathered to mark the anniversary of the ill-fated Gallipoli landings.

And whenever we fly the New Zealand Silver Fern, we always think about a very special couple who visited a few years ago ..................
