Today's the day ....................... to put on a show

Whoever planted the rhododendrons in this garden knew what they were doing - and we think it could well have been a former occupant who was an actual gardener by trade.

At any rate, there are quite a few different varieties and colours and of course, they're all quite big bushes now because they were planted a long time ago.  They are cleverly planted to open at different times, one after the other, so that you get a chance to admire them individually, when it's their turn in the spotlight.

Here's the current performing star which is just reaching its absolute best.  It starts off as quite a deep pink bud and then opens out to this frothy white bloom with just a hint of pink at the centre .....................
