Carpentras, Provence
Carpentras is known for its black truffle markets and Berlingot, a confectionary originally made from the syrup of conserving fruit.
The extra photos are of details of the cathedral frontage and the decoration at the top of the Hotel-Dieu, once a hospital built in 1754 and now the home of the Bibliotheque Inguimbertine which holds 220,000 books and is well-known throughout France.
