Imbros Gorge

We had an early start. It took me a wee while to get the hang of the automatic car we had hired for the day.( I had wanted to get a bus tour down to the gorge , but none were running from our area).
The Imbros gorge walk was fabulous, a rocky path for about 8 kms down the gorge. It was a feast for the senses, birds singing , beautiful blossoms on the trees, spring flowers, towering cliffs above.
Afterwards we got a bus back and picked up the car , and I drove us down a hairpin road to the Libyan Sea.The fortress at Frangokastello was sadly closed. Is was surrounded by beautiful wildflowers.
Later when we got back to the hotel we rested by the pool in the warm sunshine.
