Montbrun les Bains

At this time of year the irises are in flower, the darker ones especially look as if they belong to Monet.  Montbrun les Bains has a spa (first enjoyed by the Romans) in a grand old house where one can take the waters.  The old village is very steep and I would not like to live at the top as the narrow cobbled path would be a challenge if weighed down with shopping.  Both A and I with our recently replaced hip and knee did succeed however to reach the top!  Going down again was a little scary but we treated ourselves to tea and a chocolate cake at the bottom.
