Baby Blackbird

M decided to drastically cut back our hedge, as it's been allowed to take over far too much of the garden by successive tenants while we were in Brazil.

To our dismay, saw this blackbird nest after he'd cut away a lot of their cover. Quickly recovered as much as we could and desperately hoping the parents won't give up because of the disturbance. We saw the mother going in with a bug in her beak, so that's a good sign. Worried about cats, though.
