Into the garden

The weather has finally started to get warm enough to entice me into the garden- M has already been out there digging, transplanting and weeding.
I am shocked at the amount of work that needs to be done and even more alarmed that we are going to be away for a week so heaven knows what it will be like when we return - a veritable wilderness.

A surprise find in the garden today, in a sheltered spot, was the first of the seasons blue Himalayan poppies or meconopsis bought from the garden of Dr Evelyn Stevens founder of the The Meconopsis Group web site.

Dr Stevens has a huge remote garden high up on Sheriffmuir where she cultivates these extraordinary beautiful flowers.
