And the journey continues
So, it had to be stones and, once I had seen a photo of these two standing stones* and realised I had never actually seen them, that was the answer - off we went to find them.
The stones have been here for a bit longer than I have been with Blipfoto, but eleven years is a long time and, as everyone says, how can I have been doing this for so long. The answer is - it’s what I do. Every day one thing jumps out as something special to that day, it gets captured and a story is built around it. I started with blip because someone told me that, in order to get better at photography, you should take a photo a day. Well, I’m not sure that my photography skills have improved one iota, but I soon realised that I’m better at telling stories than I ever will be at taking photos. I try to create an image and a narrative that blend together, in the way of the best picture books, to make a story that will be a record for me and may perhaps interest other people. It doesn’t always work, but sometimes it does. And I shall continue trying.
So, despite the state of the world as it is today, in the Blipworld it is onwards and upwards. Thanks to everyone who visits my journal and to all those who help to keep this unique world of ours going. A sanctuary of love, support and sharing of joy to which I feel privileged to belong.
