Years go by

I know - I don’t do flowers! However, these are flowers with some significance. 

My first Blip, on the first of May 2012, featured these Tulips. Or at least they are from the same bulbs, as we have neither taken any bulbs out (as if!) nor planted any more bulbs (as if!). 

So the same place and virtually the same flowers - 11 years later. 

This set me wondering about all the changes that have occurred in our lives in those years. When I was doing a lot of family history research I would find a family in one Census, and then I would find them again in the next Census ten years later, to find things had changed dramatically. And then one had to pick up clues as to what had happened in the meantime. 

I suppose now one source of our own changes is in a Blip journal. I am currently working on Blipbook 11 and had a browse through earlier ones. Astonishing to see things that have happened since I took that Tulip photo . . . .  all those years ago.
