A view of spring... .
..from Sälsten (seal stone) on the north coast of Härnön.
The ice has gone from the sea, apart from this stranded ice-floe. The snow is melting and soon will be gone. There is the sound of running water everywhere and all the streams are full of water. A stream flows to the sea at the bottom left.
Other spring signs abound. Sea birds and eider ducks have arrived around the shore. A camper van was setting up for the night in the car park, looking over a similar view. Roe deer are munching the newly revealed grass in the fields.
Not every spring day is sun and blue skies. This grey day is also typical and showers of snow and rain swept across later in the day.
