Friday: Ant Grubs & Flowering Grass
Temperature around 15°C by lunchtime but it feels cold outdoors because there’s a mist which comes and goes. We had a couple of hours of light rain 4am to 6am, some more would be very nice :-))
Decided it was time to start off some important seeds:
Cucumber “Masterpiece”
Courgette / Zucchino “Striato d’Italia” which I’ve grown for many years
Tomatoes : Sungold, Gardener’s Delight, Raspberry Oxheart, Costoluto di Parma, San Marzano
Fingers crossed that the warm weather will continue.
Seeds from last week which have germinated : Cosmos, Radish “Munchen Bier”, Calendula and some of the seed mixture.
The ants have taken over two of my compost bins again, I have no problem with this :-)
Our internet has been very erratic all day, with no service a few times during the day.
Blackbirds were eating the Mahonia berries this afternoon.
Bank Holiday weekend - have fun and enjoy your extra day off everyone! XXXX XXX XX
