The Lioness Queen

I only got out for a short stroll today. It was just a small circular walk through the grounds of Preston Hall and back home. Both the Hall and the lion statues that grace its entrance have featured in previous blips but I still can't seem to resist them as subjects for my images. I always seem to be able find a different aspect or angle.
Today I decided on capturing another shot of the lioness. If a male lion can be called a King and even have a musical named after him I don't see why a lioness shouldn't be called a Queen and this is just my rather insignificant attempt to redress the balance!
