A frightfully good night!
We had a great time last night at our friend's birthday celebrations in London.
What a laugh the Ghost Bus was! Of course, I don't believe in ghosts but I do love history and it was fascinating finding out about London's more eerie and gruesome past. The bus was amazing. It was an old, iconic 'Routemaster' red bus which had been transformed into a very Harry Potter-esque setting for our tour. The way they'd changed the names of famous places made me laugh - Leicester Scare, Hampstead Death, Hyde Park Coroner and the Hearses of Parliament were just some. The crew were suitably creepy, too, and it was all very well done. Certainly something different!
After that, all twenty of us pootled off for a curry. Terrific fun, terrific food and terrific company!
It was also my mother's birthday - Happy Birthday, Mommy! Thought about you as we ate our curry...! With 6000 miles between us, unfortunately we need to leave those celebrations until we visit in a few weeks. We'll have to try and find a good Indian restaurant while we're there!
